The No Name Cocktail

Yet another delicious concoction created as any good rum drink should be; sitting in paradise and talking with good friends. This one is the brainchild of Carl and was first presented at the infamous Tail hook Bar; perhaps the best and most exclusive bar in Key West.

This interesting cocktail is smooth and sweet with a nice dry finish. The sugar stick isn’t just a garnish but gives your drink a continually sweeter taste as it dissolves so each sip is different than the last.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  • Chill a martini glass. I prefer to just top with ice while getting everything ready.
  • Add a scoop of ice, the rum, punch and preserve to a shaker
  • Press the lid on and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds (you want to make sure the ginger preserves are mixed in really well).
  • Dump the ice from the glass and strain in the cocktail.
  • Add sugar stick.
  • Enjoy!

Once your cocktail has reached the level of sweetness you desire simply remove the stick.
