The End of One Day, The Beginning of Another

Coastlines & Tan Lines format will be changing – Hopefully for the best!

Coastlines & Tan Lines is 8 months and 150 posts old.  Very young as far as serious blogs are concerned.  Nevertheless, as with any well run business, it is always good to evaluate and re-evaluate.  After spending two weeks in the Caribbean away from the daily operation of this blog I had some time to do just this with a clear mind.  I analyzed the readership, what people seem to like about this blog and also asked for advice from people I respect.

The good news is Coastlines & Tan Lines will continue to be the fun lifestyle blog about life in the little latitudes.  Just with a few format changes.

Starting this week the blog will switch almost exclusively to video.  The videos that I have produced always get great viewership and generates a lot of interaction.  Video is what separates this blog from other great island and lifestyle blogs such as Rumconnection.com, RumShopRyan.com and Zerotocrusing.com.  All of which I read daily and have become great friends with.  If you don’t read them you should check them out and give them a try.

Because video takes so much more time and effort vs. writing I expect to post only 1 to 2 videos per week.  I also plan highlighting and linking to other great lifestyle sites that I follow.  This is a great way to give some exposure to people I respect as well as introduce you, my reader/viewer, to more great voices.

I sincerely you hope you enjoy the change and that you will tell your friends about the fun things I’m doing here.

Thanks for following!

Carl

I hate you! You are “That GUY” that masters EVERYTHING you do! If we weren’t friends… we’d have to box!

I am glad that things are OK, as I’ve been a bit concerned at the lack of posts over the last few weeks!

I think that you make a great movie star, despite your innate talent for writing? Want to write for a newspaper or two…. or BigKahunabrew.com?

You are a natural at both, so I accept your new format with renewed excitement!
