The Beauty of Beer
Categories: Bars & Restaurants, Photography
They say that your eyes are just as important to taste as your tongue. Start salivating my friends.
Everybody has to have that one bar that they feel at home in. When I am home in Sarasota, Florida mine is called Mr. Beery’s. Mark Tuchman, the owner, is a former New Yorker (I do hold that against him) who runs a beer bar with, “No Crap On Tap”. He has 27 taps and also serves bottles of local craft beers, mostly from Cigar City.
Mark has 25 main taps and two off to the side (and a firkin), so technically I guess that means 28. The two on the side are called the Infusionator 1000 and Infusionator 2000. Each runs beers through an infusion filter. One normally has additional fresh hops in it. Think hoppy beer like Dogfish head 90 minute run through some other fresh hops. The other is the craziest. Mark often will run Brown Ale through apple pie filling. Or Cream Ale through Krispy Kreme donuts. Recently he ran Blueberry Ale through Cheerios. Fun stuff.
Mark recently expanded and needed some shots to class the place up. He didn’t want the typical beer signs, so I did some photography for him. Many of these pieces are on his walls now. One is over eight feet long. The biggest print I’ve ever done. If you are ever in Sarasota, Florida (Siesta Key Beach) this bar is a can’t miss. He’s at 2645 Mall Drive, Sarasota, FL 34231.

Mr. Beery’s is a great place to grab some great craft beer. Great selection which is always changing. Agree, if in Sarasota and you are interesting in great craft beer, Mr. Beery’s is the place to go.
Great photos Carl, I might have to have you give me some tips soon, maybe over a few beers at Mr. Beery’s.
Cheers!
