What do you do when you live in the islands and don’t like the beer?  Make your own!

Last week I was enjoying a painkiller or three at The Soggy Dollar in Jost van Dyke. Mick, the famous bartender, was keeping me well lubricated and the crowd buzzing with his antics.  I was wearing my new St. John Brewers T-Shirt that I had bought a few days prior.  When the laundry starts to pile up you just buy new T-Shirts right?  The guy next to me had the same shirt on.  He says to me, “Hey that’s my brewery!”.  I look at him and say, “bullshit.”   He continues to insist that he is the owner and in my rum induced stupor I continue to not believe.

Finally, I get that this guy  really is the owner and after being somewhat rude quickly ask if I can do a video of the operation.  Cheech, who is super cool and laid back laughs the whole thing off and readily agrees.  Here’s what we put together.  It’s a bit long but the story is worth it.  I hope you enjoy.
